Lingokids has launched an Alexa skill that allows kids and parents to interact hands-free with Lingokids content (more than 200 podcast episodes & songs). 🚀
What’s Alexa Kids?
Alexa Kids is a set of experiences for children available on all Alexa-compatible devices. Alexa Kids plays music, answers questions, reads stories, tells jokes, and so much more – all with the listening ears of children in mind. 👌
After creating a child profile, Alexa can recognize their voice and give kid-friendly responses to your family. It’s that simple! This skill will filter out songs with explicit lyrics, block shopping, and let kids access parent-approved content for age-appropriate interactions!
What’s the purpose of the alliance with Alexa Kids?
Alexa Kids allows families to utilise Lingokids across devices where Alexa is available. This helps children learn beyond the app, always under the umbrella of a safe Playlearning™️ experience.
Is there any additional charge for activating the Lingokids skill?
Not at all! Enabling the Lingokids skill is completely free of charge. There is no need for any type of payment to enjoy this function within Alexa.

You can use the Lingokids skill wherever you are as long as you have Alexa configured in one of these languages:

First time using Alexa Kids. How can I set it up?
Alexa can filter songs and other parent-approved content that offers age-appropriate resources. You can manage this type of profile by accessing the Amazon Parent Dashboard. For more information on this, please visit the Amazon site and go to the Kids and Family section here.
How can I open Lingokids skill?
Activating Alexa Kids is an optional feature that isn’t necessary to enjoy Lingokids content on Alexa. Even so, enabling Alexa Kids has many advantages for you and your child. We recommend utilizing the parental functions available with Alexa Kids.
Once you enable the Lingokids skill, your simple commands can do the rest! To get started, say: “Alexa, abre Lingokids.”
How can I ask Alexa to show me Lingokids content?
Once the Lingokids skill is in use, you can engage in a conversation with Alexa to play your preferred episodes and songs. You can just say: “Quiero bailar,” “aprender,” “cantar,” or “Quiero un cuento,” and a personalized playlist will begin playing.
Whenever you ask for a story or song, Lingokids will select multiple sets of the latest content in a different playlist.
How can I control the audio functions of Alexa?
You and your child can ask Alexa to:
- Pause: “Alexa, stop”
- Resume: “Alexa, continue”
- Skip: “Alexa, next”
- Play previous: “Alexa, previous (song)”
- Volume Up/Down: “Alexa, turn up the volume”, “Alexa, turn down the volume”
- Repeat: “Alexa, repeat”
- Get help: “Help” (This command only works with the Alexa skill in use.)
*Commands may vary depending on the device and language setting.
Remember, you’re not alone in this! If you need help during the conversation with Alexa, you can say "Ayuda," and Alexa will give you information to find out what content is there. Otherwise, feel free to contact us here if you have any further questions about this function.
