You can keep your kids inside one part of the app — just Theater, say, or just Lessons — by switching the other sections off in the Parents Area. Play is the one exception: it's the heart of the app and stays on whatever else you turn off.
How Do I Restrict Sections of the App?
- In the Kids Area, tap your kid's name in the top left corner, then tap Parents Area.
- Enter the year you were born to pass the Parental Gate.
- Tap Screen Time.
- Switch off any section you'd like to shut down — Theater, Lessons or Play Together.
Switch a section back on the same way, whenever you like.
Can I Turn Off the Play Section?
No — Play stays on. It's the default mode and the core of how Lingokids works, so there's no switch for it.
Will Turning Off Theater Hide Every Video?
Not quite. Switching Theater off blocks the videos in that section, but a few videos still appear on the main page and can't be blocked at the moment. Worth knowing before you rely on it.
If you want tighter control, pair this with your device's own parental controls — see how to set those up — and have a look at what your kids have been playing now and then.
Can I Set a Daily Time Limit Too?
Yes, on the same screen. See how to set screen time limits.
