Play is at the heart of the Lingokids experience, and it's why Play is the default mode that cannot be deactivated. Some grown-ups prefer to keep their kids focused on a specific type of content, and the Lock feature makes that possible.
Turn On the Lock Feature
The Lock feature keeps your kids within a particular section of the app, such as Theater or Lessons, without the chance of them navigating away. It gives you more control over their learning experience while keeping things fun and engaging.
- Open the app and tap the icon to access the Parent's Area.
- Enter your year of birth to pass through the Parental Gate.
- Tap Screen Time.
- Toggle off any section you'd like to restrict, such as Theater or PlayTogether.
Switch a section back on anytime the same way.
Good to Know
Turning off Theater restricts access to videos in that section, though some videos may still appear on the main page and can't be blocked at this time. For extra layers of control, pair the Lock feature with device-level parental controls and check in on your kids' activity now and then.
