We review refund requests for subscriptions bought through Google Play ourselves, so this is the right place to ask. Requests are looked at case by case, and there's a window from your first payment — seven days for monthly, 30 days for yearly. See our full refund policy for the wider picture.
How Do I Know If I Subscribed Through Google Play?
Open your payment receipt and look at the wording on the charge — a Google Play subscription shows up as Google Lingokids. You can also check in the Play Store app under Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
What Should I Send?
Get in touch with both of these, so we can find your payment first time:
- Your Google Play order number — it looks like GPA.XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX and it's on your Google Play receipt
- A screenshot of your Google Play receipt — this confirms the date and the amount
If you're writing from a different email address than the one on your account, send any other address you might have used as well, or a screenshot of your latest Lingokids Plus receipt. We can't review a refund until we've found and verified the subscription.
What Happens After I Ask?
We'll review the request against the refund policy and come back to you with a decision. If it's approved, the money usually lands back in your account within five to 10 business days, depending on how you paid and on your bank.
Does a Refund Cancel My Subscription?
No — and neither does deleting the app. To stop future charges you need to cancel separately:
- Open the Play Store app.
- Go to Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Lingokids.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
Once a paid subscription ends, your family keeps free Basic access, so your kids can carry on playing every day.
