Lingokids runs on any Amazon Fire tablet with Fire OS 6 or later, 2 GB of memory or more, and a screen of at least 7 inches. Most Fire tablets sit between 7 and 8.9 inches, so any recent one is a lovely size for your kids.
On Fire tablets, apps install from the parent profile first and then have to be shared to each kid’s profile manually.
Here’s the full flow:
- From your parent profile, download Lingokids from the Amazon Appstore if you don’t have it yet.
- Still on the parent profile, open Settings.
- Go to Profiles & Family Library.
- Tap your kid’s profile — it should read Manage this child’s Amazon Kids experience underneath.
- The profile settings open. Tap Manage Content.
- You’ll land on the Parent Dashboard. Tap Content.
- Go to Your Collections → Your Apps and Content → Share your purchases.
- Scroll through your apps until you find Lingokids, or use the Search button.
- Tap the app and switch it on for your kid’s profile.
- You’ll see an Access Updated message, and Lingokids will now be on your kid’s home screen.
