Card expired, or just want to switch to a different one? You update your payment details wherever you manage the subscription — Apple, Google Play, or our billing portal if you subscribed on the website. Steps for each are below.
How Do I Update My Payment Method on Apple?
App Store payment methods live in your Apple Account settings, not in Lingokids.
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Payment & Shipping, and sign in if you're asked to.
- Tap your existing card to edit it, or tap Add Payment Method.
- Follow the prompts to save.
Apple's privacy rules mean we can't change App Store payment details for you. If something's not working, Apple Support can help.
How Do I Update My Payment Method on Google Play?
- Open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Payment methods, then More, then Payment settings.
- Under the card you want to change, tap Edit.
- Make your changes and tap Update.
How Do I Update a Card on a Website Subscription?
Website subscriptions are handled in our billing portal, which is run for us by Stripe — so the page you land on will be a Stripe one. That's expected.
- Go to the Lingokids billing portal.
- Enter your email address and click Send.
- Check your inbox for the confirmation code and enter it. It's valid for 30 minutes.
- In the subscription section, click + Add payment method.
- Fill in your details and click Add.
How Do I Update PayPal on a Website Subscription?
If you pay by PayPal, you change it in PayPal rather than with us.
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the Settings icon near the top of the page.
- Scroll to Payment Settings and click Preapproved payments.
- Click Lingokids.
- Click Change in the Payment Method section, and pick the one you want.
